Wild

If I could run wild I would…

Like horses galloping the breadth of a field

Or dolphins peaking up to play

Catching the lift of air in my wings

If I could run wild I would

The smell of trees would wake me to life

The sun’s heat slowing me down midday

Finding shelter in the mountains hide

Wonder would be my pass time

If I could run wild I would

Stretching my arms to reach the moon’s twilight

Making my mark in the sand, untraceable

Part of the earth's rhythm I’d stand and sway

If I could run wild I would

The rocks my rocking chair and the bed grass my pillow

The willow my shade but the river my life stone

Love for creation my only home

If I could run wild I would.
